Where to Find:

Find this species on campus year-round. A large group of them can typically be seen around St. Joseph’s Lake, although a few sometimes make their way to St. Mary’s Lake. They’re usually perched up in the branches of trees or on fallen logs over the water, stretching out their wings to dry them off. You can occasionally see them out on the lake diving for fish, but they seem to spend more time sunbathing.

Thank you to Laurel Ammond for showing us where to find this species!
